On Monday, May 18, a group of Methacton students in grades 8-12 traveled to Penn State University for the 2026 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) State Meeting, where both MHS and Arcola students absolutely shined, walking away with impressive awards and scholarship opportunities:
🥇 Top Rankings: Our students brought home 19 First Place rankings (including 2 perfect scores!) and 13 Second Place finishes!
🎓 Guaranteed Scholarships: Three MHS juniors (pictured here) were awarded guaranteed $8,000 Penn State scholarships:
▪️ Andrew Kang – Eberly College of Science
▪️ Adhara Reddy – Eberly College of Science
▪️ Chelsea Lian – A double win! Chelsea received a guaranteed scholarship to the Eberly College of Science and an additional guaranteed $8,000 scholarship to the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences!
🛠️ Engineering Opportunities: Several other MHS students received exclusive offers to apply for an $8,000 PJAS scholarship if they matriculate into the PSU College of Engineering!
This incredible opportunity was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Methacton Education Foundation and the tireless dedication of our Science Fair club sponsors. Thank you for your unwavering support of our students!
We are so proud of our Science Fair teams for representing Methacton so well. Great job, Warriors!
