Activities
Getting involved in school activities is a great way for your student to enjoy school more and make connections and new friends. Besides our excellent sports and music programs, we have a number of clubs that students are welcome to join that meet during Advisory period. Students will hear more about them on the Arcola News Journal as the clubs get up and running for the year and they can find more information in the 7th and 8th Grade Google Classrooms. The clubs include:
- The Apollo (literary magazine)
- Arcola Connection (community service)
- Art Club
- Astronomy Club
- Homework Club (after school)
- Math Counts
- Musical (Spring)
- National Junior Honor Society (invite only at the end of 7th Grade for 8th Grade)
- News Journal
- Philanthropy Club (after school-8th Grade only)
- Reading Olympics
- Student Council
- Toys for Tots (invite only)
- Yearbook
